Just like an iceberg, starting and running a successful business looks great from the top but underneath the surface, the part you don’t see, has risk, sacrifice,  change, and hardwork!  Please join WWLI in welcoming Nicole Geller, Partner, CEO, Founder, Entrepreneur as our featured speaker. Nicole will share her journey starting a business including her ups, downs, successes and failures.  This presentation will be especially meaningful for women business owners looking to grow their business.

About the Speaker:

Nicole Geller is a Senior Director with Springer Lawson & Associates providing strategic consultancy services in business operations, growth, financial management and succession planning to middle  market CEOs, owners and Executive Teams. The SLA team is composed of former CEOs, COOs, and CFOs.

Previously, Nicole was a Partner in Wiljax LLC providing growth acceleration and pre-transaction readiness services to middle market companies in the areas of business development, operations management  and exit preparation. Prior to Wiljax, she was founder and CEO of Government Contract Solutions (GCS), a government contracting  professional solutions firm for the highly cleared intelligence and civilian federal markets. GCS managed highly priority IT programs for federal agencies around the globe. GCS excelled in identifying cost savings for its customers in large scale programs and federal budget.  Nicole led the Company since its inception in 1996 to a successful exit in late 2014.    

Nicole is an Advisory Board Member of Martek Global and for two other global private companies; managing committee member of the George Mason University (GMU) Board of Trustees; and an Advisory Board Member of GMU’s Entrepreneur Center and a board member of the College of Sciences. Nicole is a long term member of the Committee of 200 (an invitation-only group of  top US women business executives with P&L responsibility)  and a frequent speaker on government contracting, strategic business development  and preparing a business for sale.  She was also a member of the worldwide Young President’s Organization (YPO) for many years and now serves as facilitator of the Washington DC area YPO women CEO roundtable.

Nicole served for three years as Board member for the Women’s Center located in Vienna, Va.   She was a  2014, Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist, a SMARTCEO Future 50 Award winner in 2014 and 2013,  SMARTCEO  Govstar Award in 2013 and 2012,  and was included  5 years running on the  “Inc. 5000” list.  GCS was recognized by the Women President’s Organization in its Top 10 annual listing of the 50 Fastest-Growing US Women-Led Companies 2012, and recognized by the Washington Business Journal’s Fast 50 in 2012 and was a GMU Alumni of the Year 2013.
