 Announces 2021 Officers


The Washington Women’s Leadership Initiative, (https://wwli.org/), a powerhouse organization that offers its C-Suite members opportunities to network and share executive value-driven experiences, has announced its Board Officers for 2021.


The new officers are:

Chair: Jennifer Wappaus, First Vice President – Financial Advisor, RBC Wealth Management

Vice-Chair:  Kristina A. Vedder, Senior Director of Program Management and Business Operations for Data Exchange Platforms, Capital One

Treasurer: Carolyn Quill, Principal, Thompson Greenspon

Secretary: Claire M. S. Meade, Vice President, Financial Planning Specialist, Morgan Stanley

Based in Vienna, VA, WWLI is a 501(c)3 is cross-industry, multi-discipline, non-partisan, and non-competitive professional group.


Its members include Virginia, Maryland and DC (VMD)-area women who are partners, directors, VPs, EVPs, senior VPs, controllers, executive directors, company presidents and officers and C-suite leaders from small businesses to Fortune 100 companies, as well as Federal, state and local governments.


The organization is noted for its unique, thought-provoking leadership development programs and events which offer opportunities for interaction with nationally recognized inspirational speakers.


“I am excited to lead this organization in 2021. Our leadership and membership did an amazing job of adapting and moving forward through the challenges 2020 presented and we are carrying that momentum into the new year,” said Wappaus. “WWLI’s overall theme is growth and impact; thus in 2021 we are focusing on supporting, inspiring, and networking for women to help each of us accelerate their personal growth and networks. 


WWLI operates through the efforts of a dedicated team of volunteers who donate their time to committees including: Events, Communications, Sponsorship & Partnerships, Finance & Budgeting, Membership and Women on Boards.  


“This year our committees will work together to execute a series of panel events highlighting women leaders in the areas of Healthcare, Diversity and Inclusion, Commercial Real Estate, and Technology,” Wappaus said. “These panels will provide an opportunity for us to showcase some of the women and companies within our membership, as well as highlight to our audience how WWLI can support their own professional development and company’s women’s initiatives.“
