WWLI Announces Their 2019 Executive Leadership Team

The Washington Women’s Leadership Initiative (WWLI.org), a professional education and networking organization for executive level women, announced today the members of their 2019 Board. This group of executive leaders is made up of professional women who come from a broad range of backgrounds. They exhibit the best qualities in leadership and mentorship and will contribute beautifully to the growth of WWLI.org in the year to come.

The 2019 executive committee includes:

  • Sarah Happel, Chair (Spectrum Leadership Solutions, President)
  • Sandy Lee, Vice Chair (Neustar, Inc., Sr. Director, Privacy Programs, The Chief Privacy Office)
  • Kathy Burke, Treasurer (CureSearch for Children’s Cancer, Chief Operating Officer & VP, Finance)
  • Jennifer Wappaus, Secretary (PagnatoKarp, Director, Family Wealth Advisor)

“Each of the individuals on our Board for 2019 has achieved a great level of success in their field and has demonstrated an impressive ability to connect with and support career-minded professionals” said WWLI.org founder Carolyn Thompson. “Each year we look for new skill sets to add to our group, so we are so excited to welcome in this new leadership team and look forward to much growth and new opportunities for learning in the year ahead.”

Sarah Happel, Chair of the Board, added, “It is an honor to serve on WWLI’s board of directors with so many savvy executives from across diverse industries. Inclusion, diversity and engagement” she explained, “are core values for us this year and it begins with the richness of this board’s background.”

WWLI.org is a 501(c)3 cross-industry, multi-discipline, non-partisan, non-competitive professional education and networking organization for executive level women. The organization hosts exclusive events throughout the year, which offer affiliates unique opportunities to meet and learn from some of the most influential and inspiring women leaders from around the globe. Programs are designed so that each attendee meets a minimum of 15 new people at each event.

WWLI.org’s professional education program content qualifies for Continuing Professional Education credits required in many professions by credentialing organizations such as AICPA, SHRM/HRCI, ASTD, various bar associations and more.
